Weekend away

Bunya Mountains

We have a small window of opportunity from 9am Wednesday until 3pm Thursday so we pack the car and hit the road. Our destination is the Bunya Mountains, about three hours drive from our house. Our first stop is Kilcoy. We visit Kilcoy Quality Meats, which is an amazing butcher shop where steaks are cut…

March 15, 2017 in Australia, Car touring, Hiking, Museum, Queensland, Weekend away.

I absolutely love the way some households will create Christmas light magic to bring joy to strangers. Every year we go in search of lights. And last night was no exception. #christmaslights #tradition #australianchristmas #joy
I seem to be spending a lot of time having picnics. :)

I went out swimming today. Just a 500m doddle and float. It was so relaxing in the warm summer water. I disturbed some crabs that were repopulating the sea and there was a lone jellyfish bobbing along creating fear. #shotoniphone #axisgo #visitmoretonbayregion @suttonsswimgroup #mylocalbeach
Late afternoon swim at the beach. #winning
One of the many lovely things about living in Oz are the free public picnic areas. I’m a massive fan of eating outdoors. Having the opportunity to go for picnics on a regular basis is something I am grateful for. #gratitude #picnic #beachlife #visitqueensland
