We ride rented scooters south from Buon Ma Thuot on AH17 through moderate traffic. We turn left on a small road just before crossing a big river. Country roads start to disintegrate into a muddy red track the closer we get to the falls.
Dray Nur Waterfall is a short walk from the carpark. It’s been raining today but locals still picnic along the river banks, eating food cooked fresh at a rough-looking stall. A man asks Paul to pose with him for a photo. The water rushing over the falls is powerful. The veil must be even more spectacular once the wet season comes into full swing. It’s certainly worth the ride out.
Entry fee: 30,000VND (at June 2017)
Hot tip: Make sure you get a ticket for parking because security here is strict.
